Blurb and Tagline for THIRTY NIGHTS are here!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Hope you all have fabulous plans for the weekend. It’s raining in Portland, Oregon—which means it’s a perfect day for snuggling up with Baci chocolates and a good book (“Far From The Madding Crowd.” Thomas Hardy, Matthias Schoenaerts, and strong women—what can I say.)

It’s also a perfect day to post the blurb and tagline for THIRTY NIGHTS.  Just got them from the publisher and I’M IN LOVE!  Hope you enjoy them.  Here is the full blurb and an image of it below. Feel free to share them—I know some of you have already included THIRTY NIGHTS in your book club list. You rock! Thank you!

AMERICAN BEAUTY SERIES, BOOK 1

ThirtyNights72lg

Thirty nights. Two hearts. One fate.mia-maid-rose_0

After her parents’ tragic deaths, Elisa Snow wanted nothing more than to escape her past. Eighteen and alone, she fled her quaint English village and moved to the United States. A starving science student by day and an artist’s muse by night, Elisa has slowly built a new life. She never dreamed she would lose everything again.

She is one week from graduation when her visa is unexpectedly denied. Given thirty days to leave the country, she must face the one thing she cannot survive again—saying goodbye and leaving her home. Yet within minutes of her world shattering, she meets a man with the power to piece it back together.

After finishing his tour of duty in Iraq, Aiden Hale traded battlefields for boardrooms, becoming one of the most successful venture capitalists in the nation. But all his wealth can’t buy him reprieve from the horrific memories of war. The only thing that gives him peace is a painting of Elisa.

Drawn together by their invisible wounds, they begin a passionate affair as they race against the clock to defy their pasts—and fight for their future.

Warning: Contains a blistering exploration of desire, sacrifice, and redemption…and love’s power to equalize us in ways laws cannot.

I know you probably already discovered the typo but in the sentence that starts “She is one week from….” Week is misspelled..

I’m so excited about the book and for you!!

Ouch. It says “one wek” in that second paragraph next to the red flower. Hope it can still be corrected (it must be accidental, right?). It looks beautiful!

Also “piece” vs. “peace”. Sorry. I love your writing, but I really hope you get this out with correct spelling and all. I would buy that book in a store, but not if the blurb had typoes.

Thank you for pointing them! Yes, someone else mentioned them too. They are mine, the one on the cover will not have any. Thanks.

Oh how lovely Ani! I always seem to be traveling abroad when you post! I am in Italy on holiday and would love to be reading about Elisa and Adien again! It has been too long! curious, I know the blurb mentions Aiden’s memories of war, will he still have his eidetic memory as well? That is such a fascinating part of the story! Hope you did not have to trim too much of your story! It is so smartly written! Looking forward to this one and the next few in the American Beauty series!

Hi Tara, great question! Yes, he still has his eidetic memory. That is a huge part of Aiden! We’ve had to trim it down some because publishers have word count limits but the heart of it is there. 🙂 I hope you have a fabulous time in Italia. Mangia un’ Bacio per me. 🙂 I’m envious. xo, Ani

Oh Ani! I am so happy for you. And I am so happy for me. I will get to read your book. I was beginning to wonder. Who was it who said, ” Loving is so short, forgetting is so long.” ? Be happy, Ani Surnois / Keating <3 <3

    • asurnois says:

Thank you darling! Beautiful quote by Pablo Neruda (“Tonight I can write the saddest lines…” Doesn’t it fit Aiden well? xoxo, Ani

Thanks, Annie! Yes, we have a release date but finalizing some details. I should be able to announce it in about three weeks. 🙂

I can’t wait! You hang in there it almost done. Then you can start your second book and more. That’s how good your are with words and research on your subject. It’s hard but you ARE amazing! Always thinking of your audience! Thank you for this wonderful story. Enjoy the moment, its a dream come true. 🙂

  7. Jamilia says:

Like all the others above I can’t wait the book to be released 🙂 I really hope it will be available as e-book, since delivery to Germany will take way tooooooo long! You did a great job with the cover and the blurb, the cover is the Elisa I always imagined when reading the story.
